MAINTAINANCE:

We commend that only agents you should use your marble for cleaning on a regular basis are hot water and specially formulated stone cleaners which you should obtain from your installer. Also, make sure that you are cleaning your marble on a regular basis. In addition to that, remove all stains and spots from your marble tiles immediately so your marble will look as new as it was on the very first day. Following points are to be taken under consideration to maintain the marble look:

Maintenance starts with a first cleaning about 1 week after the grouting of the floor. This cleaning has to be carried out only once with a suitable cleaner (e.g. Lithofin MN Power Clean). Important: always use an acid-free product!

Allow the wall cladding to dry thoroughly during the next 4 to 6 weeks. During this period it is important to use only a little water to mop the wall cladding to allow the surplus moisture to evaporate from the tiles; also use a product that does not seal the pores of the stone (e.g. Lithofin MN Easy Care Cleaner). This product is always added to the wash water and can be used for future regular cleaning.

When the wall cladding is completely dry we strongly recommend to protect sensitive areas (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) with a suitable sealer (e.g. Lithofin MN Stain Stop).

In order to protect the polished finish of the stone a periodical care treatment can be carried out (1x or 2x per month) with a suitable product (e.g. Lithofin MN Care Seal).

For exceptionally dirty surfaces and stubborn marks, a suitable acid-free product can be used (e.g. Lithofin MN Power Clean).
